The Implant Fixer, a pledge against titanium waste

Abstract
The matter of complications in implant restorations might not be that extensively
discussed with our patients, yet the cost of addressing such mishaps can amount to
almost a third of the cost of the initial treatment.
From simply retightening a loose abutment screw to more elaborate implant salvage
procedures, the expertise needed to tackle complications varies, and one needs to
know their comfort zone, for the benefit of the practice and the patient, as well.
At the end of this presentation, the attendees are expected to:

Learning Objectives

  1. Be prepared to manage patient expectations, and implement prevention strategies.
  2. Be aware of the prevalence of various implant complications.
  3. Be able to identify specific complications, determine the level of expertise required to manage them, before tackling these incidents.
