A Clinical Case Report of a Non-Surgical Resolution of Condylar Neck Fracture
under NM concepts

Abstract
This clinical case report presents the non-surgical management of a mandibular
condylar neck fracture using a neuromuscular (NM) approach as an effective and
minimally invasive alternative to conventional surgical treatment. The patient was
treated with a neuromuscular orthopedic orthosis designed to promote the controlled
repositioning and stabilization of the fractured condylar segment, thereby facilitating
physiological healing and functional recovery.
Throughout the treatment, objective monitoring and documentation were achieved using bioelectronic instrumentation—specifically the K7 Myotronics system, integrating
mandibular scanning and surface electromyography (sEMG). This technology provided
dynamic, real-time data on mandibular movements, muscle coordination, and joint
symmetry during each treatment phase. Progressive improvement in the functional
pattern of mandibular kinematics and normalization of electromyographic activity
confirmed the gradual reestablishment of balanced neuromuscular function.
Radiographic and clinical follow-up demonstrated consolidation of the fracture and
complete recovery of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) physiological function without
surgical intervention. The case supports the concept that neuromuscular orthopedics
can effectively assist in condylar repositioning and functional rehabilitation through
bioelectronic guidance, ensuring optimal adaptation of the masticatory system.
This presentation aims to highlight the diagnostic and therapeutic value of
neuromuscular protocols in complex TMJ trauma cases, expanding the scope of
conservative approaches and emphasizing the integration of technology-assisted
monitoring in contemporary clinical practice.
