Iulian Antoniac
Iulian Antoniac is Full Professor of Materials Engineering and Biomaterials at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, where he earned his BSc, MSc, PhD, and Postdoctoral degrees in Materials Science. He is Member of the Academy of Romanian Scientists, Member of the American Romanian Academy of Arts and Sciences, Past President of the International Society for Ceramics in Medicine (ISCM), and President of the Romanian Society for Biomaterials. His research focuses on biomaterials, bioceramics, biodegradable metals, coatings, and advanced materials for orthopedic and dental implants. Author of over 270 publications (H-index 37), he was ranked in the top 2% most cited scientists worldwide (Elsevier, 2023–2024) and is Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE).
